Aladdin Quotes (1992)
Genie: Jafar, Jafar, he's our man, if he can't do it: GREAT!
Aladdin: Oh, but Genie. She's smart and fun and...
Aladdin: Beautiful! She's got these eyes that just--and this hair. Wow. And her smile.
Genie: [turns into a cheerleader] Rick 'em, rack 'em, rock 'em, rake. Stick that sword into that snake!
Jafar: You stay out of thissss!
Genie: [weakly] Jafar, Jafar, he's our man. If he can't do it, GREAT!
Jasmine: I am not a prize to be won!
Aladdin: Do you trust me?
Aladdin: Princess Jasmine, you are very...
Genie: [whispers] Wonderful. Magnificent. Punctual.
Genie: [whispers] Sorry.
Genie: Nice recovery.
Sultan: I don't know where she gets it. Her mother wasn't nearly so picky.
Genie: [coming out of the lamp after Jafar has rubbed it] Y'know, Al, I'm getting really [spots Jafar] I - don't think you're him. [reading from a script and looking at Jafar through opera glasses] Tonight the part of Al will be played by a tall, dark and sinister, UGLY man.
[Annoyed at the insult, Jafar steps on the Genie's face]
Jafar: I am your master now!
Genie: I was afraid of that.
Aladdin: Well, I guess... this is... goodbye.
Jasmine: Oh, that stupid law. This isn't fair... I love you.
Genie: Al, no problem, you still got one wish left! Just say the word and you're a prince again!
Aladdin: But Genie... what about your freedom?
Genie: Hey, it's only an eternity of servitude. [pushes Aladdin and Jasmine closer together] This is love. Al, you're never going to find another girl like her in a million years. Believe me, I know. I've looked.
Jasmine: Goodnight, my handsome prince.
Aladdin: Sleep well, princess.
Jasmine: You are the boy from the market! I knew it! Why did you lie to me?
Aladdin: Jasmine, I'm sorry!
Jasmine: Did you think I was stupid?
Jasmine: Did you think I wouldn't figure it out?
Aladdin: No. Well, at least I hoped you wouldn't. No, that's not what I meant!
Jasmine: Who are you? Tell me the truth.
Aladdin: The truth? Oh, the truth. Well, the truth is, I sometimes dress as a commoner to escape the pressures of palace life. But I really am a prince!
Jasmine: Why didn't you just tell me?
Aladdin: Well, you know, royalty going out into the city in disguise... it sounds a little strange, don't you think?
Jasmine: Not that strange.
Genie: I'm free... I'm free. [to Aladdin] Quick, QUICK! Wish for something outrageous, say 'I-I want the Nile'! Wish for the Nile, try that.
Aladdin: Uh... I wish for the Nile.
Genie: NO WAY! [points and laughs]] OH, does this feel good! Oh! I'm free! I'm free at last! [starts packing a suitcase] I'm hitting the road! I'm off to see the world! I'm- [Looks at
Aladdin who smiles sadly and looks down]
Jasmine: And does Abu have anything else to say?
Aladdin: Well, uh, he wishes there was something he could do to help.
Jasmine: Hmm, tell him that's very sweet.
Sultan: Prince Ali Ababwa! Of course! I'm delighted to meet you.
[he shakes Aladdin's hand]
Sultan: This is my royal vizier, Jafar. He's delighted, too.
Jafar: [very dryly] Ecstatic.
Aladdin: You're only in trouble when you get caught.
Genie: Aw Al, I'm gettin kinda fond of you, kid. Not that I want to pick out curtains or anything....
Genie: Oy! Ten-thousand years can give you such a crick in the neck!
Jasmine: At least some good will come of my being forced to marry. When I am Queen, I will have the power to get rid of you.
Aladdin: Wish fulfillment?
Genie: Three wishes, to be exact. And ixnay on the wishing for more wishes. That's all. Three. Uno, dos, tres. No substitutions, exchanges, or refunds
Aladdin: Perfect timing, Abu. As usual.
Guard 1: [spots Aladdin] There he is!
Guard 2: You won't get away so easily!
Aladdin: [holds up the bread] You think that was easy?
[He turns to see a group of women laughing at him]
Razoul: [to his guards] You two, over that way! And you, follow me! We'll find him!
[Aladdin walks up to the women, disguised as one of them]
Aladdin: Morning, ladies.
Woman 1: Getting into trouble a little early today, aren't we, Aladdin?
Aladdin: Trouble? No way. You're only in trouble if you get caught.
Razoul: [grabs Aladdin] GOTCHA!
Aladdin: I'm in trouble!
Sultan: [brandishing the piece of material] So! This is why Prince Achmed stormed out!
Jasmine: Oh Father! Rajah was just playing with him, weren't you, Rajah? You were just playing with that silly, stuck up, overdressed Prince Ahmed, weren't you? [They both chuckle and then see the Sultan glaring at them.] Ahem...
Sultan: Dearest, you've got to stop rejecting every suitor who comes to call! The law says you...
Jasmine: [choruses with him] Must be married to a prince...
Sultan: ... by your next birthday!
Jasmine: The law is wrong!
Sultan: You've only got three more days!
Jasmine: Father! I hate being forced into this! If I do marry... I want it to be for love.
Sultan: Jasmine... it's not only this law... I'm not going to be around forever and, well, I... I just want to make sure you're taken care of... provided for.
Jasmine: Please, try to understand! I've never done a thing on my own, I've never had any real friends! [Rajah looks up indignantly] Except you, Rajah... [Rajah lies down again] I've never even been outside the palace walls!
Sultan: But Jasmine, you're a princess.
Jasmine: Then maybe I don't wanna be a princess any more!
Sultan: Ooooh-! Allah forbid you should have any daughters!
[Rajah grunts confusedly]
Genie: He's got the outfit, he's got the elephant, but we're not through yet! Hang on to your turban kid, we're gonna make you a star!
Aladdin: [to Genie, regretfully] Genie, I can't keep this up on my own. I.....I can't wish you free.
Genie: [obviously hurt] Fine. I understand. After all, you've lied to everyone else. Hey, I was just beginning to feel left out. Now, if you'll excuse me, Master. [Vanishes into lamp]
Sultan: Jafar, you vile betrayer!
Iago: That's Sultan Vile Betrayer to you!
Jafar: [notices Aladdin has returned] YOU! How many times do I have to kill you, boy!?
Genie: [singing] You ain't never had a friend like me.
Genie: Ala! Hail the conquering hero! [plays drums, horns, and accordion magically and happily, sees Aladdin depressed, then stops playing, rubs his head] Aladdin [puts fingers together framing his face like a TV screen] you just won the heart of the Princess. What are you going to do next?
Aladdin: [collapses on big pillow, sighs when collapsed]
Genie: [whispers] Hey, your line is, I'm going to free the Genie. Anytime.
Aladdin: Genie, I can't.
Genie: Sure you can. You just go,'Genie, I wish you free!'
Aladdin: I'm serious!
Iago: [impersonating Jafar] On a scale from one to ten, YOU are an ELEVEN!
Genie: Where do you come from, what's your name?
Genie: Aladdin, well Aladdin, nice to have you on the show. can we call you 'Al' or maybe just 'Din' or how about 'Laddie'? That sounds like 'Here, boy. Come on, Laddie'.
Aladdin: I must've hit my head harder than I thought.
Jasmine: I'll never marry you, Father, I chose Prince Ali.
Jafar: Prince Ali left.
Aladdin: Better check your crystal ball again, Jafar.
Aladdin: All this for a loaf of bread?
Aladdin: Abu, this is no time to panic! [gasps and sees a cliff] Start panicking!
Jafar: I must find this one. This Diamond in the Rough.
Jafar: You're speechless, I see. Such a fine quality in a wife.
[Genie and Carpet are playing Chess]
Genie: So move!
[Carpet takes his Queen and knocks Genie's king off the board]
Genie: Hey! That's a good move. [imitates Rodney Dangerfield] I can't believe it! I'm losing to a rug!
Aladdin: Genie, I'm gonna miss you.
Genie: [tearfully] Me, too, Al. No matter what anybody says... you'll always be a prince to me. [He and Aladdin hug]
Sultan: That's right. You have certainly proven your worth as far as I'm concerned! It's that law that's the problem...
Sultan: Well, am I Sultan or am I Sultan? From this day forth, the princess shall marry whoever she deems worthy.
Jasmine: Him! I choose- I choose you, Aladdin.
Aladdin: Heh. Call me "Al."
Genie: Dost mine ears deceive me? 'Three?' You are down by one, boy!
Aladdin: Ah, no, I never actually wished to get out of the cave. Heh. You did that on your own. [the Genie's mouth drops]
Genie: Oh. Well I feel sheepish. [turns into a sheep] All right, you baaaaaad boy. But no more freebies.
Iago: Oh, there's a big surprise! I think I'm... ooh... I think I'm gonna have a heart attack and die from NOT surprise!
Genie: Quick! Try something outrageous! Wish for denial!
Aladdin: Uhh... I wish for denial.
Genie: No way!
Genie: t's all part and partial, the whole Genie gig. Phenomenal cosmic powers! [shrinks down inside the lamp] Itty-bitty living space!
[Iago is powering a mystic device by foot power]
Iago: With all due respect, Your Rottenness, couldn't we just wait for a real storm?
Jafar: Save your breath, Iago. Faster!
[he inserts the Sultan's ring into the top of the hourglass]
Iago: Yes, O Mighty Evil One!
[he pedals the device faster]
Aladdin: [After learning that Genie will grant him three wishes; to Abu] Now I know I'm dreaming.
Aladdin: [Jafar becomes the ultimate genie, showing off his powers] Not so fast, Jafar! Aren't you forgetting something? You wanted to be a genie, you got it! And everything that goes with it!
Iago: I can't believe it! I just don't believe it! We're never gonna get ahold of that stupid lamp! Just forget it! Look at this. Look at this! I'm so ticked off that I'm molting!
Genie: [After Jafar has become a Genie] Al, you little genius, you!
Jafar: [after the entrance to the Cave of Wonders is sealed, Jafar, thinking he has the lamp, laughs] It's mine. [removes his disguise] It's all mine! [looks into his robe] I-- [takes a closer look] Where is it? [pats down his empty robe] No! [falls to his knees] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
[The genie, thinking Aladdin and Abu are abandoning him in the cave, puts his foot down in front of Aladdin]
Genie: Excuse me?! [Scoffs in annoyance] Are you lookin' at me? Did you rub my lamp? Did you wake me up? Did you bring me here? [Anger rising] And all of a sudden, you're walkin' out on me?! I don't think so! Not right now!! YOU'RE GETTIN' YOUR WISHES, SO SIT DOWN!
Jafar: HAHAHAAA! I'm just getting warmed up! [Spits fire]
Aladdin: Are you afraid to fight me yourself, you cowardly snake?
Jafar: [emerges through flames] A snake, am I? Perhaps you'd like to see how sssnake-like I can be! [with these words, Jafar transforms into a giant cobra]
Jafar: [after becoming a genie] The universe is mine to command! TO CONTROL!!
Aladdin: Not so fast, Jafar! Aren't you forgetting something?!
Aladdin: You wanted to be a genie? You got it!
Aladdin: [sucks the evil genie into a black lamp] And everything that goes with it!
Jafar: NO! NO!
Iago: I'm gettin' outta here!
Aladdin: Phenomenal cosmic powers!
Iago: [Jafar grabs him] Come on! You're the genie! I don't wanna be... [gets trapped in the lamp with Jafar]
Aladdin: Itty-bitty living space.
Genie: Al! You little genius, you!
Genie: Uh, rule #1, I can't kill anybody. [cuts his head off] So don't ask. A-rule #2! [fixes his head]. I can't make anybody fall in love with anybody else. [his face turns into lips and he smooches Aladdin] You little punim there. RULE #3! [turns into a slimy Genie, and imitating Peter Lorre] I can't bring people back from the dead. It's not a pretty picture. I DON'T LIKE DOING IT! [he returns to normal] Other than that, you got it!
Genie: [last lines] Made you look.
Genie: Three wishes, to be exact. And ixnay on the wishing for more wishes. That's all. Three. Uno, dos, tres. No substitutions, exchanges or refunds.
Sultan: One thing I pride myself on, Jafar: I'm an excellent judge of character.
Iago: Oh, excellent judge. Yeah, sure. Not!
Jasmine: I'm a fast learner.
Jafar: [disguised as an old man] You've heard of the golden rule, haven't you? Whoever has the gold makes the rules.
Genie: Talk about her. She's smart, fun. The hair, the eyes. Anything. Pick a feature.
Jasmine: What are you doing?
Aladdin: Just play along.
Genie: Tell her the truth!
